What is the difference between the RAG system and the API integration?
The RAG ($29) system is self-contained: it answers strictly from content we load into it (your pages, docs, FAQs), with no ongoing API costs. The API integration ($39) connects live to an AI provider like OpenAI or Anthropic for more natural, open-ended conversation, but you need your own account with that provider and pay them directly for usage.
Who pays for the AI API usage on the API Integration plan?
You do, directly to the AI provider (for example OpenAI or Anthropic), using an account and API key you create and control. Our $39 fee is a one-time installation charge; it does not include or mark up your ongoing usage costs, which depend entirely on how much traffic your chatbot gets.
I don't have an OpenAI or Anthropic account. Can you still set this up?
We can walk you through creating one, it typically takes a few minutes, or you can start with the RAG system instead, which needs no third-party AI account at all. You can always upgrade to the API integration later.
Does my data get used to train someone else's AI model?
On the RAG plan, your content lives in a retrieval index we build for your bot; it is not submitted anywhere to be trained on. On the API plan, your conversations are sent to whichever provider account you connect (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), so that provider's own data and training policy applies. We will point you to it before you decide.
What chatbot UI/UX styles can I choose from?

Does this work with my website platform?

Yes. Both plans can be configured to ask for a name and email at the right moment in the conversation and route it to your CRM, email tool, or inbox, the same way our lead funnel pop-ups do.
Is there ongoing maintenance after installation?
The $29 or $39 fee covers installation and initial training on your content. If you want us to keep updating the bot's knowledge base as your site changes, that is available as a separate, optional service; tell us at /contact/ and we will quote it.
